While poking around over at Surviving in Safety Harbor I found a good talk done by Michael Crichton which goes over Fear, Complexity, & Environmental Management in the 21st Century. It’s a really good look into how over simplified theories and statements perpetuate fear, and how that fear is the catalyst for the environmental problems we face. A perfect example talks about the establishment of Yellowstone National Park and how “Environmental Management” turned a once fruitful region of flora and fauna into an almost desert plain. It’s a good read.
